Power and Performance
The Tahoe's base engine is a 5.3-liter V-8 that generates 355 horsepower. It comes standard with rear-wheel drive and offers four-wheel drive as an option. The High Country comes with a 6.2-liter V-8 under the hood that puts out 420 horsepower, and you can get this as an option for the RST, Z71, and Premier trims. For even more power, a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel is optional. It generates 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The Tahoe can tow up to 8,300 pounds with the towing package and the 6.2-liter engine. The base engine can tow up to 8,400 pounds, and the diesel up to 8,200 pounds. The diesel is also the most fuel-efficient, getting up to 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The 6.2-liter and the 5.3-liter V-8's will get 20 mpg on the highway. Safety Features
Every Chevrolet Tahoe comes with several advanced safety features. No matter your trim, you'll get forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane-departure mitigation, automatic high-beam headlights, and front and rear parking sensors. The high-end Premier and High Country trims add a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic warning, and this model also offers GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving technology as part of the Advanced Technology Package. This package has an automated parking system, a 360-degree surround-view parking camera, and a head-up display.
Technology

The entry-level LS trim has an 8-inch touch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker stereo system. Wireless charging comes in the LT trim and above, and the Premier adds a 10-speaker Bose stereo system. Interior Features
The Tahoe's cabin is spacious, with plenty of room for all eight or nine passengers to spread out. Power-adjustable front seats come standard, along with tri-zone automatic climate controls. Moving up the trim lineup to the Premier adds extra features, such as heated and ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable and heated steering wheel, a power-folding third row, and heated second-row bucket seats. The High Country adds the option of a panoramic sunroof.
