The Chevy Equinox received a complete redesign for the 2025 model year. Its new exterior look is more rugged, and the interior cabin received a makeover with a new design for the center console and a fresh look for the dashboard. Other changes include updated technology and a streamlined lineup of trims. The 2025 Chevy Equinox now comes in three different trim levels, giving you different styles to choose from. At Monument Chevrolet in Pasadena, Texas, we’ll help you explore each trim in detail so you can choose which one meets your needs.
2025 Chevy Equinox Trim Levels

You’ll find three distinct variations in the lineup if you’re shopping for a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox. The base LT has a stylish interior and exterior, while the RS has a sporty feel. The ACTIV is the third trim in the lineup, and this Equinox is ready for adventure.
LT
The entry-level LT may be the starting point for the 2025 Equinox, but it’s far from a base trim. It offers the perfect balance of comfort and style with standard features such as 17-inch wheels, remote start capabilities, and heated exterior mirrors.
Inside, you’ll find heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and high-quality cloth upholstery. Technological features in the LT include an 11.3-inch touch screen, an 11-inch digital gauge cluster, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You’ll have access to a 5G Wi-Fi hot spot through Chevy’s connected services, and Google built-in gives you access to Google Maps.
Safety features in the LT include a full suite of advanced driver aids. It comes with forward collision warning, automatic braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and lane-keep assist. The Equinox also comes with automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, and intersection collision mitigation.
RS
The RS comes with all the features of the LT but adds a sportier look. It comes standard with the Midnight Edition Package with 19-inch wheels, roof rails, and black exterior trim accents. It also adds upgrades such as a hands-free power liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a heated wiper rest that prevents the wipers from freezing to the windshield during the colder months.
Inside, it has an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, synthetic leather upholstery, and a wireless charging pad. The optional Convenience Package III makes the Equinox RS even more comfortable, with features such as an eight-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. It also adds memory settings for the driver’s seat, making it easy to find the perfect driving position every time you get behind the wheel.
ACTIV
At the top of the lineup, you’ll find the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox ACTIV trim. This model offers the perfect combination of comfort and luxury with extra capabilities for rough terrain. It swaps out the standard tires for all-terrain tires and adds exclusive 17-inch wheels. A unique grille and front fascia, along with its blacked-out badging, make the ACTIV stand out from the other two trims. Roof-mounted side rails come standard, and you can customize this trim even further by adding the available two-tone white roof.
Inside, you’ll sit on a combination of Evotex and suede microfiber upholstery and enjoy a comfortable ride no matter what the weather is like outside with the cabin humidity sensor. Dual-zone automatic climate control is another standard feature in this trim.
Available Packages and Options
All three Equinox trims have the same comprehensive list of advanced driver aids, and you can add the Safety and Technology Package to all trims for additional features. This optional package comes with fog lights, a surround-view camera system, and a digital rearview mirror that allows you to see out the back of the SUV even if you have the cargo area fully loaded up with gear. It also adds rear pedestrian alert, which warns you if a pedestrian is approaching the rear of the vehicle when you’re in reverse.
Performance Specifications Across Trims
The engine is the same across all trim levels of the Chevrolet Equinox. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder puts out 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The front-wheel-drive version comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission, while the all-wheel drive comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The most fuel-efficient version of the Equinox for city driving is the front-wheel drive. It gets up to 26 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive version gets 24 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, which is perfect if you’re planning any long road trips.
The ride in any of the Equinox models is smooth and comfortable. If you like to be the first one off the line when you’re stopped at a red light, you can efficiently get up to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds.
