There are so many incredible places to visit from Pasadena, TX that it would be impossible to list them all. We have, however, narrowed it down to five of our favorite day trips, so you can pack up the car and enjoy a day with family and friends, and not worry about finding the right place to visit. Keep reading to learn more about them!

Kemah Boardwalk

If you are looking for a day trip that guarantees family fun, head to the Kemah Boardwalk that’s less than an hour away from Pasadena by car. It is packed with waterfront restaurants that serve up tasty food and a great view. There are also a ton of stores and boutiques to shop at, including a Build-a-Bear store and the popular Treasure Chest Gift Shop. You can even take a ride on the Ferris wheel, carousel, and more rides and games as well.

Katy

If you or your kids love horses, a day trip to Katy is where you want to go. Katy hosts prestigious equestrian shows and rodeos and is where the Great Southwest Equestrian Center is located. If you want even more fun, you can head to Typhoon Texas, a waterpark with elaborate slides and rides that deliver wet and wild excitement. Katy is also home to several museums which include the Katy War Veterans Memorial and Museum and the Katy Railroad Heritage Museum.

Conroe

Conroe is a great day trip for some outdoor fun at one of Houston’s biggest lakes. You can enjoy kayaking, boating, jet skiing, and swimming. There are plenty of attractions on land as well which include bowling, golf courses, and outdoor obstacle courses. If you are in the mood for some fine wines or brews, check out Bartlett’s Distillery and Southern Star Brewing. If you do visit these places, be sure not to drink and drive.

Blessington Farms

At Blessington Farms you can spend some time picking fresh berries and veggies and enjoy some quality time with loving farm animals. You also get access to their fishing pond, but you are required to supply your own bait. Kids will enjoy feeding the Quaker parrots and burning off some energy climbing the large rope spider web and san mountain. Blessington Farms is just an hour away from Pasadena by car.

Brazos Bend State Park

For a trip to the great outdoors, head to Brazos Bend State Park located one hour away from Pasadena by car. Here is where you will find an array of scenic trails suitable for hiking, off-road biking, and horseback riding. The park also features a large pier where you can cast your fly and reel in your catch of the day with no fishing license required! It is less than an hour from Pasadena by car and well worth the trip.
